President Trump declared Monday “liberation day” for the country, vowing in a rousing inaugural speech that “the golden age of America begins right now.”
The 47th president — roundly repudiating the Biden administration’s lefty legacy and “many years” of a “radical and corrupt establishment’’ — promised to bring about a “revolution of common sense.
“From this moment on, America’s decline is over,” Trump, 78, told the packed crowd gathered inside the Capitol Rotunda for a pared-down event because of the dangerously cold weather outside.
President Joe Biden pardoned his family members, including his businessman brother James and political adviser sister Valerie, in his final moments in office before Donald Trump returned to power.
Biden justified his preemptive pardons, contending his “family has been subjected to unrelenting attacks and threats, motivated solely by a desire to hurt me — the worst kind of partisan politics” and adding, “Unfortunately, I have no reason to believe these attacks will end.”
The last-minute action adds to an earlier sweeping pardon for his son, Hunter Biden.

The Capitol audience audibly booed President Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris following their introduction at the Rotunda ahead of Monday’s inauguration ceremony.
By contrast, President-elect Donald Trump was met with wild cheers and chants of “U-S-A!”
House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) was also booed when his entrance was announced shortly before Biden and Harris’.
Donald Trump will order the renaming of the Gulf of Mexico and Alaska’s Mount Denali in his first hours as the 47th president, The Post has reported.
The Gulf of Mexico will be rechristened the Gulf of America, and Denali, the highest mountain in North America, will revert to Mount McKinley — which it was called in the sight of the US government until President Barack Obama changed the name in 2015.
The renaming of the two natural features is to honor “American greatness,” according to a preview of the orders.
Incoming President Donald Trump will announce the end of birthright citizenship for children of illegal immigrants in an executive order on his first day of office, incoming White House officials said.
The federal government will no longer recognize the immediate citizenship of children of illegal immigrants born in the US “on a prospective basis,” the incoming official said on a call Monday morning.
Trump had discussed ending birthright citizenship on the campaign trail, but the action could raise legal questions, since the 14th Amendment states, “All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside.”
President Donald Trump will remove transgenderism — root-and-branch — from the U.S. federal government via an Executive Order, likely on his first day, according to a report in FreePress.com.
The action will implement the preferences of many millions of American citizens, including some who voted on election day just to win this valuable prize.
TheFreePress.com reported that the order — titled “Defending Women from Gender Ideology Extremism and Restoring Biological Truth to the Federal Government” — will ensure that.
