1. Car Plows Into LA Crowd

A vehicle rammed into a crowd of people waiting to enter a nightclub along a busy boulevard in Los Angeles early Saturday, injuring 30 people and leading bystanders to attack the driver, authorities said.

The driver was later found to have been shot, according to Los Angeles police, who were searching for a suspected gunman who fled the scene.

It was not immediately clear if the driver had been shot before or after the crash or why he drove into the crowd, a Los Angeles Police Department spokesman said.

2. Heritage Foundation Founder Dies at 83

Edwin J. Feulner, a prominent figure in the American conservative movement and co-founder and former president of the Heritage Foundation, died on Friday at the age of 83.

Feulner served as the organization’s president from 1977 to 2013 and again from 2017 to 2018. He was well known for transforming the once-obscure think tank into one of the most influential policy powerhouses in Washington, D.C.

He was its longest-serving president after helping to create the Washington, D.C.-based think tank in 1973.

3. WATCH: Mamdani Called for ‘Abolition of Private Property’

Video has surfaced showing Zohran Mamdani, the socialist Democratic nominee for New York City mayor, calling for the “abolition of private property” during a previous campaign.

In a clip that made the rounds on social media Thursday, Mamdani said, “Every single person should have housing.”

“The system has hundreds of thousands of people unhoused, right? For what?” Mamdani said in the clip, which was from a 2020 podcast interview when he was a Democratic nominee for the New York State Assembly, a race he went on to win.

4. Emails: Biden WH Pushed to Label Parents ‘Domestic Terrorists’

The Justice Department under former U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland actively sought out a “federal hook” to justify going after parents protesting at school board meetings, internal communications show.

According to department emails obtained by America First Legal, after coordinating with the National School Boards Association on a letter likening concerned parents to domestic terrorists, Biden DOJ officials rushed to draft Garland’s memo mobilizing federal authorities in response.

The efforts included workshopping ways within a legal framework to prosecute parents, concerned at the time with mask mandates, critical race theory teachings in K-12 classrooms, and transgender school policies.

5. In-N-Out Moving HQ from California to Tennessee

The billionaire heiress of In-N-Out Burger said she is leaving California due to her ongoing issues with the Golden State as the company plans to branch out.

Lynsi Snyder, 43, revealed this week the company plans to move eastward and she is relocating her family to Tennessee after a slew of battles with left-wing policies of Governor Gavin Newsom.

‘There’s a lot of great things about California, but raising a family is not easy here. Doing business is not easy here,’ Snyder said on Allie Beth Stuckey’s ‘Relatable’ podcast.

6. Trump Signs Landmark Crypto Bill Into Law

President Trump signed a landmark bill to regulate cryptocurrency on Friday, hailing the “exciting new frontier” for the technology one day after the bill passed the House.

The legislation, called the GENIUS Act, is the first major law governing digital currency, and establishes a regulatory framework for the $250 billion stablecoin market. Stablecoins are viewed as a relatively safe type of cryptocurrency since their value is pegged to other assets, like the dollar. The bill passed the House on Thursday with the support of 206 Republicans and 102 Democrats.

“We worked hard. It’s a very important act, the GENIUS Act. They named it after me,” the president joked in the East Room of the White House. “I want to thank you. This is a hell of an act.”

7. US Revokes Visa of Brazil Judge Over Bolsonaro

Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced late Friday that the visas of Brazilian Supreme Court Judge Alexandre de Moraes, his “allies on the court” and immediate family members have been revoked over the ongoing “political witch hunt” against Brazil’s former President Jair Bolsonaro.

“[President Trump] made clear that his administration will hold accountable foreign nationals who are responsible for censorship of protected expression in the United States,” Rubio, who is also President Trump’s national security adviser, wrote in a post on social platform X.

He continued, “Brazilian Supreme Federal Court Justice Alexandre de Moraes’s political witch hunt against Jair Bolsonaro created a persecution and censorship complex so sweeping that it not only violates basic rights of Brazilians, but also extends beyond Brazil’s shores to target Americans.”
