šŸ”µ Elise Stefanik OUT

Good morning. Itā€™s Thursday, March 27.

President Trump withdrew Rep. Elise Stefanikā€™s nomination to be US ambassador to the United Nations Thursday, saying the New York Republicanā€™s exit from the House posed an unacceptable risk to passing his marquee legislation.

ā€œAs we advance our America First Agenda, it is essential that we maintain EVERY Republican Seat in Congress. We must be unified to accomplish our Mission, and Elise Stefanik has been a vital part of our efforts from the very beginning,ā€ Trump wrote on Truth Social.

ā€œI have asked Elise, as one of my biggest Allies, to remain in Congress to help me deliver Historic Tax Cuts, GREAT Jobs, Record Economic Growth, a Secure Border, Energy Dominance, Peace Through Strength, and much more, so we can MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN,ā€ he added.

Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. said he would significantly cut the size of the department he leads, reshaping the nationā€™s health agencies and closing regional offices.

Kennedy on Thursday said the agency would ax 10,000 full-time employees spread across agencies tasked with responding to disease outbreaks, approving new drugs, providing insurance for the poorest Americans and more. The cuts are in addition to roughly 10,000 employees who chose to leave the department through voluntary separation offers since President Trump took office, according to the department.

Together, the cuts would eliminate about one-quarter of a workforce that would shrink to 62,000. The department would lose five of its 10 regional offices. HHS said essential health services wouldnā€™t be affected.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio said Thursday that at least 300 foreign students have had their visas revoked amid the Trump administrationā€™s immigration crackdown, a far higher number than was previously known.

ā€œMaybe more, it might be more than 300 at this point,ā€ Rubio said at a press conference in Guyana when asked to confirm Axios reporting on the topic.

ā€œWe do it every day. Every time I find one of these lunatics, I take away their visa,ā€ he added, saying he hopes itā€™s even more than the 300 estimate.

A prominent diversity, equity, and inclusion nonprofit declared bankruptcy this month after its board accused its founder and top employees of stealing millions of dollars, a Daily Wire investigation found. Bill Clinton and Oprah Winfrey are set to keynote a conference run by the alleged thief, apparently through his for-profit firm, next month.

The National Diversity Council filed for bankruptcy on March 17 after its board said in a lawsuit that its founder R. Dennis Kennedy ā€œimproperly paid himself millions of dollars from NDCā€™s donor funds.ā€ The suit said Kennedy ā€œpaid himself a grossly excessive salaryā€ while using the nonprofit as a front for his for-profit diversity consulting business called Diversity & Leadership Inc (D&L).

The groupā€™s 2020 IRS disclosure said Kennedy was paid $450,000 for 10 hours of work per week. In 2022, at the height of corporationsā€™ DEI hype, Kennedy, chief executive officer Ɓngeles Valenciano, and chief financial officer Jason deGroot also ā€œunilaterally decided that they were owed almost $3 million in ā€˜back pay,ā€™ and then paid themselves more than $1 million of donor funds,ā€ the lawsuit said.
