In a speech to European leaders, Vice President JD Vance said the continentās recent censorship activities were a bigger threat to its existence than Russia.
āThe threat that I worry the most about vis-Ć -vis Europe is not Russia, itās not China. Itās not any other external actor,ā he said in an address at the Munich Security Conference.
āWhat I worry about is the threat from within the retreat of Europe from some of its most fundamental values, values shared with the United States of America.ā

The Trump White House said Friday that The Associated Press is banned from the Oval Office and Air Force One indefinitely.
The AP, one of the worldās biggest news outlets, was singled out by the White House earlier this week over three words: āGulf of Mexico.ā
President Donald Trump said last month that the US government would rename the body of water the āGulf of America.ā The change has taken effect at government agencies. But other countries do not recognize the new name, and the AP has customers around the world, so it still refers to the Gulf of Mexico while also acknowledging Trumpās decree.
Vice President JD Vance criticized The Wall Street Journal on Friday over an article it published misinterpreting remarks that Vance gave the newspaper in an interview.
āVance Wields Threat of Sanctions, Military Action to Push Putin Into Ukraine Deal,ā blared the headline of the news report, which was accompanied on X with the caption:
āExclusive: Vance pledged to hit Russia with sanctions and potentially military action if Putin wonāt agree to a peace deal that guarantees Ukraineās independence.ā
Fourteen states sued Elon Musk, his Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) and President Trump on Thursday, arguing that the tech billionaireās sweeping efforts to cut government spending are unconstitutional.
The coalition of states, led by New Mexico, alleges that Muskās expansive role as the head of DOGE violates the Appointments Clause of the Constitution given that he has not been confirmed by the Senate.
āMr. Muskās seemingly limitless and unchecked power to strip the government of its workforce and eliminate entire departments with the stroke of a pen or click of a mouse would have been shocking to those who won this countryās independence,ā they wrote.
Border Czar Tom Homan said that āSquadā Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) could be in trouble with the law after her office held a webinar this week called āKnow Your Rights with ICE,ā educating illegal immigrants on avoiding deportation. He sent a memo to the deputy attorney general over the matter.
The webinar from Ocasio-Cortezās office, which was streamed on Facebook, was held in conjunction with immigration lawyers from the Immigrant Defense Project, and was targeted in order to tell illegal immigrants in the United States how to deal with a confrontation with ICE officers.
Appearing for a segment with Laura Ingrahm, Homan said he sent an email to the Attorney General about her potentially violating laws regarding immigration and added, āIs she crossing the line? So, Iām working with the Department of Justice and finding out. Where is that line that they cross? So, maybe AOCās gonna be in trouble now.ā
Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth spent Friday morning working out in the snow with US forces in Poland ā as new military ads reflect a renewed pride in power and strength.
Hegseth, who arrived in Warsaw Thursday for his first official overseas trip, shared photos of himself jogging and doing pre-dawn pushups with members of the US Army V Corps and Polish forces who work with them there.
āTough, disciplined, ready to fight,ā he posted on X.
Pope Francis was admitted to hospital for bronchitis treatment Friday and has canceled all scheduled events for the next three days, according to the Vatican.
āThis morning, at the end of the audiences, Pope Francis was admitted to the Policlinico Agostino Gemelli for some necessary diagnostic tests and to continue his treatment for bronchitis,ā the Vatican said in a statement.
Following his hospitalization, the Vatican said the Pope had canceled his scheduled events for the next three days.
Marius Borg HĆøiby has been accused of raping a TV presenter in another alleged sexual assault case against the 28-year-old son of Norwayās future queen.
The alleged assault took place at his royal residence in a ācastle basement partyā with police believed to have a video clip of the attack, according to Se og hor.
The presenter, Linni Meister, 39, reportedly did not remember the alleged attack and only became aware of it after she was informed by law enforcement officials.
