Very prepared : “I live on the Space Coast (east) of Florida, 20 miles south of Cape Canaveral. Wood and brick ranch house, surrounded by woods (trees aren't close enough to fall on house). Heavy duty, reenforced garage door. Vented attic, with reenforced hurricane strips in attic. New roof. Solar panels, and a 16K automatic generator, with 250 gal buried propane tank. Well water connection to house. Double impact windows/french doors and electric metal hurricane shutters. These precautions turn my home into an impenetrable fortress.”

Very prepared: “Had plenty on water and water jugs filled in refrigerator, plenty of snacks put aside and candles, flashlights, batteries if needed. We keep our phones on the charges until full charged, then put our tablets to charge. Also charged the jump box we have because it has a port for charging, should a phone "die" on us. ”

Somewhat prepared : “I've lived in Florida for 7 years. I still need to purchase a generator to be better prepared. I lost power Thursday for 10 hours. But living so close to Tampa, it's almost impossible to leave. So I just pray for the best outcome. ”

I don't live in an affected area: “But I am concerned because family and friends there. ”
