🔵 Israel Controls Tehran

Within 48 hours of starting its war on Iran, Israel said it gained air superiority over the western part of the country, including Tehran. Israeli warplanes began dropping bombs from within Iranian skies instead of relying on expensive long-range missiles.
That is a feat that the giant Russian air force has been unable to achieve in Ukraine in 3½ years of war. This setback is one of the reasons why Moscow’s troops have been bogged down in grinding trench warfare, sustaining staggering losses, ever since they failed to rapidly seize Kyiv in February 2022.
On Sunday, Israel was exploiting its advantage, saying it had taken out dozens of surface-to-air missiles in western Iran and killed the intelligence chief of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, along with his deputy.

Iran has threatened to leave the nuclear non-proliferation treaty (NPT) as Israeli bombing raids enter a fourth day, underlining the conflict’s potential to trigger a broader war and Tehran’s race to construct a nuclear weapon.
The human cost of the war continued to escalate with both sides broadening their range of targets, as G7 leaders convened in the Canadian Rockies with no clear plan to end the conflict. As he left for the summit on Sunday, the US president, Donald Trump, told reporters: “Sometimes they have to fight it out.”
Iran’s health ministry said that 224 people in Iran had been killed by Israeli attacks, 90% of them civilian, and more than 1,400 had been injured. Israel’s defence minister, meanwhile, threatened further bombing strikes on Tehran, where an exodus of residents has been reported, clogging roads out of the capital.

President Donald Trump slammed accusations from Tucker Carlson that he has “abandoned” his hallmark America First doctrine by siding with Israel’s preemptive airstrikes on Iranian nuclear sites, according to New York Post.
The dispute erupted after Carlson accused Trump of betraying the MAGA base in his newsletter titled “This Could Be the Final Newsletter Before All-Out War,”
“Despite being complicit in the act of war, the president hopes last night’s events will help his ongoing nuclear negotiations with Iran,” Carlson wrote, according to The Independent.

President Donald Trump announced Sunday evening his intention to launch what he called the “single largest Mass Deportation Program in history,” targeting Democrat-run sanctuary cities including New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago with a major influx of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump praised ICE personnel for their “incredible strength, determination, and courage,” declaring that his administration would prioritize enforcement in cities he said had become “havens” for undocumented immigrants and “centers of Democrat power.”
“In order to achieve this, we must expand efforts to detain and deport Illegal Aliens in America’s largest Cities, such as Los Angeles, Chicago, and New York, where Millions upon Millions of Illegal Aliens reside,” Trump wrote.

President Donald Trump and Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney will face off on Monday during the 2025 Group of Seven leaders summit in Canada, with their second meeting carrying higher stakes than their first.
Months after mocking former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau as governor of the 51st U.S. state and relishing in the negotiating pressure caused by his tariffs, Trump and Trudeau’s successor will convene on Carney’s home turf.
“Mr. Carney needs to be careful about bending the knee,” Jeremy Ghio, a senior director at Montreal-based public affairs firm TACT and a Canadian political analyst, told the Washington Examiner. “He needs to find this balance between flattering Mr. Trump and not giving him an inch, and especially in terms of Canadian sovereignty.”

Documents released Sunday night by the Hennepin County Attorney’s Office detail how 57-year-old Vance Boelter carried out the shootings that killed House Speaker Emerita Melissa Hortman and her husband, and injured Sen. John Hoffman and his wife.
He was arrested Sunday near his Green Isle home and then brought to Hennepin County overnight.
Boelter faces two counts of second-degree murder and two counts of attempted second-degree murder. In Minnesota, a person can only be charged with first-degree murder by a jury indictment.

By the time Israel’s advanced F-35 jet fighters swooped in to attack Iran’s nuclear facilities and military leadership, a lower-tech threat had already crossed the border and was in position to clear the way.
Israel had spent months smuggling in parts for hundreds of quadcopter drones rigged with explosives—in suitcases, trucks and shipping containers—as well as munitions that could be fired from unmanned platforms, people familiar with the operation said.
Small teams armed with the equipment set up near Iran’s air-defense emplacements and missile launch sites, the people said. When Israel’s attack began, some of the teams took out air defenses, while others hit missile launchers as they rolled out of their shelters and set up to fire, one of the people said.
