Israelās security cabinet early Friday approved a plan to occupy Gaza City, marking an escalation in Israelās ongoing war against Hamas.
The announcement comes after an all-night meeting of the security cabinet, following Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahuās announcement that Israel planned to retake control over the entire territory and eventually hand it off to friendly Arab forces opposed to Hamas.
āThe Security Cabinet has approved the Prime Ministerās proposal for defeating Hamas. The IDF will prepare for taking control of Gaza City while distributing humanitarian assistance to the civilian population outside the combat zones,ā read a post from the official X account of the Prime Minister of Israel.


President Trump is planning to deploy federal law enforcement on the streets of the nationās capital as early as Friday to crack down on violence committed by gangs of roaming āyouths,ā the White House confirmed to The Post.
āDC residents can expect to see an increase in federal enforcement starting as early as tomorrow,ā an administration official said Thursday, adding that operational details were still being finalized.

The Trump administration on Thursday offered a $50 million reward for information leading to the arrest of Venezuelan dictator NicolƔs Maduro.
āMaduro uses foreign terrorist organizations like [Tren de Aragua], Sinaloa and Cartel of the Suns to bring deadly drugs and violence into our country,ā Attorney General Pam Bondi said in a video posted on X.
The Drug Enforcement Administration has thus far seized 30 tons of cocaine linked to Maduro and his associates, Bondi said, and ānearly seven tons linked to Maduro himself, which represents a primary source of income for the deadly cartels based in Venezuela and Mexico.ā

Driscoll has been viewed as a champion of the bureauās rank-and-file staff. He declined to turn over a list of the thousands of FBI agents who worked on investigations into those that stormed the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021.

After a report by the Daily Mail cited āwell-placedā sources close to Steve Bannon who claim he is gearing up for a 2028 presidential run, the former chief strategist to Donald Trump gave a two-word response.
āTrump 2028,ā Bannon said in response to a report heās seeking political advice for a potential run. The report also claimed Bannon had privately disparaged Vice President JD Vance, considered the top contender to run for the presidency on the GOPās ticket in 2028.
A source in Bannonās inner circle told the Daily Mail Bannon has repeatedly said he does not think Vance is tough enough to run in 2028.
