🔵 Judge Blocks Deportations
Good evening. It’s Saturday, March 15.

A federal judge temporarily blocked President Trump on Saturday from invoking the 18th century Alien Enemies Act to swiftly deport alleged Venezuelan gang members without a hearing – ordering any flights carrying the supposed criminals to turn around.
US District judge James Boasberg quickly ordered the Trump administration to halt all removals after the commander in chief signed off on a presidential action invoking the 1798 law – aimed at targeting Venezuelan prison gang Tren de Aragua, The Washington Post reported.
The chief judge in the District of Columbia said he heard that “flights are actively departing” and directed US officials to have planes in the air carrying migrants returned to the United States, the outlet reported.

President Donald Trump has revoked 19 additional executive orders and actions issued by his predecessor.
The White House on Friday released the list of Biden-era actions that Trump rolled back.
“I have determined that the following additional rescissions are necessary to advance the policy of the United States to restore common sense to the Federal Government and unleash the potential of American citizens,” Trump’s order stated.

President Trump on Friday signed an executive order that aims to eliminate seven federal agencies, including ones that focus on media, libraries, museums and ending homelessness.
The president directed the government entities “be eliminated to the maximum extent consistent with applicable law,” insisting they “reduce the performance of their statutory functions and associated personnel.”
It ordered the heads of each entity submit a report to the Office of Management and Budget confirming full compliance within seven days.

Hunter Biden fled last week to South Africa for a luxury vacation — with round-the-clock Secret Service protection — avoiding a grueling deposition scheduled for this week in a California lawsuit.
California District Court Judge Herman Vera granted Hunter’s motion to dismiss the case Thursday after the former first son claimed he was too broke to continue suing former Trump staffer Garrett Ziegler and his nonprofit Marco Polo.
But photographs show Hunter was already in Cape Town the day the case was dismissed, staying in a $500-a-night beachfront villa described on its website as an “ultra-luxurious designer home with spectacular 180 degrees unobstructed views of the sea.”

A 13-year-old boy who was suspended after his school falsely accused him of wearing “blackface” has gotten his record expunged and the school district has settled in a lawsuit brought by the boy’s parents.
Daniel Ameduri, who sued Muirlands Middle School in California after his son JA, was suspended over the 2022 incident where the boy wore eye black to a football game, and was then suspended from school and banned from sporting events. After the school had settled, his record’s suspension was expunged for wearing the eye black, which is a common practice at sporting events, according to Fox News.
“The false allegations of blackface on J.A.’s permanent school records could have haunted him for decades, affecting both his education and future career opportunities,” attorney Karin Sweigart at the Dhillon Law Group counsel said in a statement.

The Canadian government has spent more than $11 billion on gender-related initiatives overseas over the past 10 years, with funds directed toward projects focused on gender equality and women’s empowerment under the Feminist International Assistance Policy (FIAP).
According to the Western Standard, this figure represents a conservative estimate, as it accounts only for gender-targeted aid and does not reflect the full scope of gender-related projects, which could total billions more.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau introduced FIAP in 2017, emphasizing Canada’s commitment to gender equality.

Mark Zuckerberg’s Meta will launch its Community Notes feature on it Facebook, Instagram, and Threads in the United States next week. The community-driven feature replaced the company’s biased left-wing “fact checking” system that was used to censor conservatives over the past 10 years.
On Tuesday, Meta will begin releasing its own version of X’s “Community Notes” feature on Facebook, Instagram, and Threads for U.S. users, according to a report by TechCrunch.
Instead of relying on biased, third party so-called “fact-checkers,” a Community Notes feature allows social media users to add additional context to a post that might be misleading or contain wrong information.
