🔵 Lara Trump Joins FOX

Good evening. It’s Wednesday, February 5.

Fox News Channel has announced that Lara Trump will host a new weekend primetime program titled “My View with Lara Trump,” which is set to premiere Feb. 22.

The hourlong show will air on Saturdays at 9 p.m. Eastern Time while “One Nation with Brian Kilmeade” will shift to Sundays from 10 p.m. to 11 p.m. Eastern Time, according to an announcement from Fox News Media CEO Suzanne Scott.

In making the announcement, Scott praised Trump as a “gifted communicator who knows how to connect with viewers,” adding that her experience as an entrepreneur, working mother and political figure gives her a unique understanding of the American public.

President Donald Trump’s newly confirmed Attorney General Pam Bondi has directed the Department of Justice (DOJ) to halt federal funding to sanctuary cities that refuse to cooperate with federal immigration enforcement agents.

The move from Bondi was one of her day-one directives and comes alongside a slate of policies and executive orders from the Trump administration as it seeks to secure the southern border and deport illegal aliens already present within the United States.

Trump alluded to plans to defund sanctuary cities in an interview with Fox News two days after he was inaugurated, stating that he “might have to” cut federal funding to cities that shield illegal aliens from deportation.

President Donald Trump signed an executive order Wednesday banning men from women’s sports, a historic moment in the fight to protect the integrity of women’s spaces from gender activists and ideologues.

“From now on,” he said to massive applause from those assembled, “women’s sports will be for only women.”

“With this executive order, the war on women’s sports is over,” he added.

Sen. Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., is “fine,” his office said Wednesday after he was seen using a wheelchair following a fall at the Capitol.

“Senator McConnell is fine. The lingering effects of polio in his left leg will not disrupt his regular schedule of work,” a McConnell spokesman said in a statement. McConnell, 82, had polio as a child.

The spokesman added that McConnell is using a wheelchair “purely as a precautionary measure.”

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt confirmed on Wednesday that Politico has been receiving funds from the U.S. government that will dry up as President Donald Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) cracks down on spending.

Leavitt was asked about reports that “media outlets” will be impacted by Elon Musk’s plan to cut funding for U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). Politico received at least $8.2 million from the U.S. government in recent years, with $44,000 of that coming from USAID, according to USAspending.gov.

“Upon coming out here to the briefing room, I was made aware of the funding from USAID to media outlets, including Politico, who I know has a seat in this room, and I can confirm that the more than $8 million taxpayer dollars that have gone to, essentially, subsidizing subscriptions to Politico on the American taxpayers dime, will no longer be happening,” Leavitt said.

Saikat Chakrabarti said he would initiate a bid to challenge former Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) in the party primary for the seat she’s held for more than two decades, citing concerns with new government regulations.

In the post announcing his candidacy, he spoke about his time with Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.).

“After serving as her campaign manager and first chief of staff, I returned to San Francisco where for five years I’ve led a policy think tank that develops comprehensive solutions to the problems that both America and San Francisco face,” he wrote in a statement on the social platform X.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky accused former Fox News host Tucker Carlson of “working for Putin” and “licking his ass” on Piers Morgan’s show, Tuesday.

Responding to Carlson’s own appearance on Piers Morgan Uncensored – during which he criticized Zelensky for his persecution of political opponents and the Ukrainian Orthodox Church – the Ukrainian president claimed, “Regrettably, this blogger or journalist, whatever he wants to call him, he unfortunately fully repeats words of the Putin.”

Zelensky continued, “He works for the Putin because he wants to lower me to the level of Putin. This is what he wants. He wants us to be equals.”

The federal whistleblower protection agency has concluded the IRS wrongly retaliated against two agents who blew the whistle on political interference in the Hunter Biden criminal investigation and may have violated federal law by trying to gag the agents from disclosing wrongdoing, according to correspondence to Congress made public Wednesday.

The Empower Oversight whistleblower center, which represented one of the agents, Gary Shapley, disclosed the findings of the Office of Special Counsel in a letter sent to Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa.

Empower Oversight had filed a complaint with OSC in May 2023 alleging that Shapley and his colleague, IRS agent Joseph Ziegler, had been removed from the Hunter Biden case for blowing the whistle and later had received communications prohibiting them from further communicating concerns about wrongdoing and political meddling in the case.
