🔵 Liberals Win Canada
Good morning. It’s Tuesday, April 29.

The Liberals have won Canada’s April 28 election, forming government for a fourth consecutive term, with Mark Carney remaining prime minister.
As of 6 a.m. EST on April 29 with 99 percent of the polling results available, the Liberals were either elected or leading in 168 ridings, the Conservatives in 144, Bloc Québécois in 23, the NDP in seven, and the Greens in one, while vote counts continue.
In order to win a majority government, a party needs to win the majority of the 343 seats in the nation’s House of Commons.

President Donald Trump is now at the finish line of his first 100 days of his second term in the White House, as of Tuesday.
Key tenants of Trump’s first 100 days include imposing harsh tariffs on Chinese imports, starting and continuing peace negotiations between Russia and Ukraine, unveiling plans to dismantle organizations like the Education Department and cracking down on border security amid a mass deportation initiative.
The period also marked a steep increase in executive orders in comparison to previous presidents. Altogether, Trump has signed over 140 executive orders during his first 100 days in office during his second term. That is an increase from the 33 he signed during the first 100 days of his first term, and up from the previous record of 99 that former President Franklin Delano Roosevelt signed during that same timeframe.

Progressives routinely advance their agenda by obscuring the suffering of women and children. Every cultural revolution they champion, from redefining marriage to dismantling biological sex to flooding the country with abortion pills, demands one thing: suppression of consequences.
During the gay marriage debate, we were told it was all about adult love and equality. In reality, children paid the price.
With the transgender surge, Americans were assured it was just about “letting people pee in peace.” In reality, it meant lost female swim and track records, male rapists in women’s prisons, and irreversible surgeries on minors.

Russia could strike Nato members with nuclear weapons, a senior security official has said.g
Dmitry Medvedev, Russia’s former prime minister and current deputy of its security council, said Nato’s newest members, which includes Sweden and Finland, could be struck with revenge strikes using nuclear weapons in the event of a conflict.
“The non-aligned status gave them (Finland and Sweden) certain international perks, given their geopolitical position and many other factors,” Medvedev said.

America First Legal has filed a state bar complaint against New York Attorney General Letitia James over her alleged mortgage fraud.
The complaint was filed in New York on Thursday – 10 days after U.S. Federal Housing Finance Agency Director William J. Pulte sent a criminal referral to the Justice Department.
Pulte alleged that James, a Democrat, “in multiple instances, falsified bank documents and property records to acquire government-backed assistance and loans and more favorable loan terms.”

An old saying about papal elections goes as follows: “He who enters the conclave as pope, leaves it as a cardinal.” In other words, any candidate seen as the frontrunner before the voting begins should be treated with caution, and no cardinal should go into the Sistine Chapel assuming they will get the votes.
At the 2013 conclave, one of the favorites was Cardinal Angelo Scola of Milan. The Italian bishops were so confident that he would be chosen that after the white smoke emerged from the Vatican chimney, a senior Italian church official sent a message to reporters expressing joy over Scola’s election. The problem was that Cardinal Jorge Bergoglio had already been named pope.
This conclave is going to be crucial for deciding the future direction of the Roman Catholic Church, and the field of candidates is wide open thanks to Pope Francis’ reforms.

Nike’s latest advertisement at the London Marathon was lambasted as tone-deaf and completely disrespectful.
The red-colored sign read, “Never again. Until next year.” It was supposed to refer to the spirit of runners finishing a trial and returning the next year, but many took it as an insult to the victims of the Holocaust.
Among the critics was billionaire investor Bill Ackman.
