šŸ”µ Musk Drops DOGE

Good morning. It’s Sunday, May 25.

Elon Musk on Saturday said he will be focused ā€œ24/7ā€ on his work heading X, Tesla and SpaceX following an X outage that impacted tens of thousands in the US and more around the world.

ā€œBack to spending 24/7 at work and sleeping in conference/server/factory rooms,ā€ the billionaire posted on X. ā€œI must be super focused on /xAI and Tesla (plus Starship launch next week), as we have critical technologies rolling out.ā€

The 53-year-old said the X issues this week showed ā€œmajor operational improvements need to be made. The failover redundancy should have worked, but did not.ā€

The Kremlin as well as Russian state media are alleging a huge, potentially conflict-altering incident which will surely escalate the war in Ukraine – an attempted attack on Russian President Vladimir Putin himself.

A high-ranking Russian military commander on Sunday described that last week, as Putin traveled to the Kursk region for the first time since is liberation after 6+ months of Ukrainian occupation, Ukraine tried to attack Putin’s helicopter mid-flight, sending a wave of drones to swarm the flight path of the chopper.

The presidential helicopter was caught in the ā€œepicenterā€ of a massive Ukrainian drone attack, commander of an air defense division in Kursk, Yury Dashkin, told Russian media. The headline is the top featured story of English-language RT on Sunday, something which suggests the allegations are largely aimed at grabbing the attention of the West.

Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.), a fiscal hawk who has openly criticized House Republicans’ reconciliation bill, predicted Sunday that there are enough in his flock to stop the process ā€œuntil the president gets serious about spending reduction and reducing the deficit.ā€

Pushing President Trump’s ā€œbig, beautiful billā€ through the House was far from a painless process, but the fiscal package now heads to the Senate, where the chamber is likely to make changes.

Johnson, who has not held back in his criticism of the bill championed by House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.), characterized the GOP-only legislation as ā€œthe Titanicā€ at a Politico event earlier this month.

The teen who’s been charged in the murder of 17-year-old Austin Metcalf will be tried as an adult in Texas.

Last month, Metcalf was stabbed to death at a high school track meet after reportedly telling Karmelo Anthony, 17, that he was sitting in the wrong seat. Anthony has been charged with first-degree murder and, according to an arrest warrant, told police of the fatal stabbing, ā€œI did it.ā€

Anthony will be tried as an adult, since Texas is a concurrent jurisdiction state, according to Capital B. The laws allow prosecutors to charge minors, typically 16 or 17 years old, as adults with certain crimes.

The year of 2020 was an unmitigated disaster for the US for numerous reasons. With so many chaotic events happening simultaneously, one can be forgiven if they have completely forgotten about the bizarre CHAZ/CHOP takeover of a section of Seattle by woke activists for around a month.

The protest led to extensive violence and some deaths, but was widely supported by city officials. It was also a wellspring of hilarious memes as ignorant protesters tried in vain to establish a self sustaining progressive community complete with socialist garden spaces.

Seattle is one of the few leftist enclaves in the US still clinging to the old days of BLM and covid mandates, and they are back in the news again. This time because of an organized and violent mob attack on a peaceful Christian rally this week at Cal Anderson Park. The rally, held by a group called Mayday USA, spoke on pro-life issues and against transgender hormones and surgeries for children.

Memorial Day is a sacred day of remembrance, reverence, and gratitude for the brave patriots who have laid down their lives in service to our great Nation. Throughout our history, brave men and women have been called to defend the cause of liberty on foreign shores in defense of our homeland. Their noble sacrifices are marked by flag-draped coffins and the silent sorrows of those left behind. We must never forget those who have given everything for our country.

America’s Gold Star Families — whose sons, daughters, wives, and husbands are among the honored — endure unfathomable heartache. Their loved ones selflessly gave everything to protect our sovereignty. They have our unwavering support, deepest gratitude, and highest respect. The lives lost in war serve as a solemn reminder of why we must pursue peace through strength.

We are eternally indebted to our Nation’s fallen heroes. On this solemn day, as we honor their sacrifice, the First Lady and I ask all citizens to join us in prayer that Almighty God may comfort those who mourn, grant protection to all who serve, and bring blessed peace to the world.

Newly declassified intelligence records have revealed that the Biden administration labeled Americans who opposed the COVID-19 vaccination and mask mandates as ā€œDomestic Violent Extremists.ā€

The documents, which were declassified by DNI Tulsi Gabbard, show that they cutely abbreviated the term to ā€˜DVEs’.

Catherine Herridge, one of the journalists who obtained the records, notes ā€œThe designation created an ā€œarticulable purposeā€ for FBI or other government agents to open an ā€œassessmentā€ of individuals.ā€

The Trump administration reportedly dispatched a team to meet with victims of Britain’s draconian speech restrictions amid growing concerns over the state of liberty in the United Kingdom.

A group of five diplomats from the U.S. State Department were recently sent on a fact-finding mission in March to Britain to meet with pro-life activists who have been arrested for silently praying outside abortion clinics in the UK, The Telegraph reports.

The Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor (DRL) team also met with UK Foreign Office officials and members of the Ofcom broadcasting regulator, which was recently empowered to police speech on the internet in Britain by the controversial Online Safety Act.
