President Donald Trump received cheers from the crowd at Daytona International Speedway as Air Force One landed at the airport ahead of his arrival for the Daytona 500 on Sunday.

The president’s plane flew over the speedway before it landed at Daytona International Airport. Cheers from the crowd were heard on the FOX broadcast as the pre-race hosts talked to Chase Elliott. NASCAR fans and drivers watched as the plane flew over the track.

Trump, inside his black limousine dubbed “The Beast,” did a lap around the track along with his motorcade while delivering a message to the drivers.

The Department of Justice fired 20 immigration judges at the start of the weekend without explanation, according to multiple reports.

A union president told the Associated Press that the firings included 13 new judges who hadn’t been sworn in yet and five assistant chief immigration judges, while the two others were fired earlier this week.

Politico also reported that the 13 new judges were the whole December class set to be sworn in amid a significant backlog of immigration cases.

Border czar Tom Homan denied Sunday that the Justice Department dropped charges against New York City Mayor Eric Adams in exchange for Hizzoner letting immigration agents onto Rikers Island.

“I think that’s ridiculous,” Homan told CNN’s “State of the Union” when asked about speculation that it was a quid pro quo.

Justice officials last week ordered Manhattan federal prosecutors to drop the five-count bribery indictment against Adams, 64, saying the raps were politically motivated, although leaving the door open for him to be recharged.

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Jerusalem on Feb. 16, where the two vowed to combat Iran’s nuclear ambitions.

Netanyahu said after the meeting that he and Rubio had a “very productive discussion” on several issues, “none more important than Iran.”

“Israel and America stand shoulder to shoulder in countering the threat of Iran,” the prime minister said. “We agreed that the ayatollahs must not have nuclear weapons and also agreed that Iran’s aggression in the region must be rolled back.”

Google has cooperated with authoritarian governments by removing objectionable content at their request. From 2020 to 2024, more than 60% of takedown requests came from Russia, and China managed to get 200+ corruption videos removed.
