👍 Yes: “My children took out student loans and all of them paid them back. You sign an agreement to that effect and are responsible for the loan the same way as a car or home loan. This is not loan forgiveness; it is theft from working people.”

👍 Yes: “I had a student loan. I repaid it. These whiners need to get off their lazy butts, get a job - two jobs if necessary as many of their parents did - and grow up.”

👍 Yes: “Student loans belong to the student. If they or their parents were unable to grasp the impact of selecting a field of study that would not afford them a standard of living, that’s their problem. Nobody should have to assume someone else’s debt’s, which is what taxpayer funded relief means! Many people choose to not go to college, or to a less expensive community college, or to technical schools because they do not want to be saddled with school loans. Why should they now have to pay via taxes for students who went to high dollar universities for degrees that serve no purpose and they are unemployable. In no other scenario would a bank loan $100,000 to an 18 year old to start a business, yet these same financial people loan this amount and more to students year after year knowing there field of study is not a good return on investment!”

👍 Yes: “If you sign up for a loan, you should pay it back, period. The rest of us should not be held responsible for the loans of other people.”
