Donald Trumpâs Florida lawyer on Monday filed a motion demanding that billionaire Rupert Murdoch be forced to sit for a deposition âwithin fifteen days,â as the president sues the Wall Street Journal over a report claiming that Trump composed a âbawdyâ 50th birthday card for sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
Trumpâs motion notes that because Murdoch is 94 years old and has experienced âmultiple health issuesâ and âscaresâ in the last five years, an âexpeditedâ deposition under oath would be the appropriate course of action.

âJudge Boasbergâs actions have harmed the integrity and public confidence in the integrity of the judiciary,â Justice Department Chief of Staff Chad Mizelle wrote in the five-page complaint, which was obtained by The Hill.

After the music mogulâs conviction on July 2, the judge, Arun Subramanian, denied his lawyersâ request to have him released from detention pending his sentencing, saying that Mr. Combsâs history of domestic violence showed that he could pose a danger to others.
