đŸ”” Pope’s Easter Message

Good morning. It’s Sunday, April 20.

Pope Francis has made his first significant public appearance since he left hospital, greeting cheering crowds from the popemobile.

He blessed the thousands of faithful gathered to celebrate Easter Sunday at the Vatican.

The 88-year-old pontiff appeared frail as he was wheeled out onto the balcony over the entrance of St Peter’s Basilica, before being driven in the popemobile through the crowds of faithful gathered in St Peter’s Square.

President Trump on Sunday resurrected one of his favorite Easter traditions by going on an epic tirade against foes including former President Joe Biden — who he called a “highly destructive Moron.

“Happy Easter to all, including the Radical Left Lunatics who are fighting and scheming so hard to bring Murderers, Drug Lords, Dangerous Prisoners, the Mentally Insane, and well known MS-13 Gang Members and Wife Beaters, back into our Country,” Trump, 78, wrote on Truth Social.

Trump also derided the “weak and ineffective” judges who have gotten in his way before turning his ire against Biden, 82, who he blamed for stoking the border crisis — before wishing all of them a happy Easter.

First Lady Melania Trump previewed the 2025 White House Easter Egg Roll in an announcement detailing many of the exciting activities to be featured on the South Lawn for the event on Monday, April 21, 2025.

This year’s event will offer children and families from across the country the opportunity to experience a day of fun, learning, and memorable moments. As part of the lead up to a nationwide commemoration of the 250th celebration of America’s founding, the America250 initiative—featured on the South Lawn—will bring history to life for kids and families who sign a mini-Declaration of Independence, dress up as Founding Fathers, and enjoy an activity book, George the Star: An America250 Story.

In addition to the classic Egg Roll and Egg Hunt—both featuring real, small- and medium-sized eggs donated by American egg farmers—guests will enjoy a wide array of entertaining activities thanks to the White House Historical Association and its partnerships.

Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito filed a strongly worded dissent from the court’s order issued early April 19 that temporarily blocked the Trump administration from deporting alleged members of the Venezuelan criminal gang Tren de Aragua.

The dissenting opinion, which was joined by Justice Clarence Thomas, was posted on the court’s website early on April 20.

“In sum, literally in the middle of the night, the Court issued unprecedented and legally questionable relief without giving the lower courts a chance to rule, without hearing from the opposing party, within eight hours of receiving the application, with dubious factual support for its order, and without providing any explanation for its order,” Alito wrote.

Curt Lind didn’t know it, but he was already dead.

The 82-year-old was ambushed by a hooded figure lying in wait outside his trailer park who repeatedly slashed his throat, CCTV footage seen by The Telegraph reveals.

Amazingly, Lind remained on his feet as his assailant fled. The collar of his jacket, which had been torn off during the frenzied knife attack and trailed limply from his hand, was visibly soaked through with blood.

He staggered away, perhaps trying to seek help from a neighbour, before collapsing face-first in the middle of the road.

A federal judge ruled against the Trump administration’s executive order banning the use of an “X” on passports marked by people self-identifying as neither male nor female.

U.S. District Judge Julia Kobick of the District Court of Massachusetts – who in 2017 was part of a legal team that sued the Trump administration over an ACA provision and has been a judge less than 18 months, awarded the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) a preliminary injunction on April 18, staying the president’s executive action requiring sex, instead of gender identity, to be used as an identifier on government-issued identification documents.

The executive order titled “Defending Women from Gender Ideology Extremism and Restoring Biological Truth to the Federal Government” was one of several signed by President Donald Trump on his first day in office.

The Democratic primary for New York City mayor is increasingly turning into a two-person race — with support growing for both ex-Gov. Andrew Cuomo and socialist state Assemblyman Zohran Mamdani, according to a new poll.

Front-runner Cuomo continues to hold a commanding lead in the crowded primary election with the backing of 45% of the Democrats, shows the survey conducted for the five-borough Chambers of Commerce by the Honan Strategy Group.

The survey was conducted after incumbent Mayor Eric Adams announced he will not run in the Democratic primary and instead seek re-election on his own independent ballot line.
