Agree: “I mostly agree. However, I DO think there should be limits as to how late in the term you can have an abortion unless there truly is an issue that might cause the death of the mother. Such issues are extremely rare, as abortion should be, IMHO. Girls and young women need to be educated on birth control methods and on things such as "plan B" long before they are sexually active, so they will be less likely to get pregnant unintentionally. I'd much rather see birth control be low or no cost, easy to get, and for girls to know early on where/how to get it than for them to get pregnant when they don't want to be and turn to abortion clinics. We should also be teaching girls that they can/should say "no" to sex until they're really ready, and that it's cool to be celibate rather than sleeping around. Sorry to sound like a prude, but kids are sexualized way too early and don't seem to think it's anything special anymore.”

Agree: “Although I am a Conservative, I have always stood up for Women’s Rights. I marched in the 1960’s for a woman’s right to be able to get a legal abortion. I do not condone full term abortions.”

Disagree: “There are ways to prevent pregnancy...birth control, IUD, condoms,etc or sexual abstinence, of course, if one is in no financial or other position to get pregnant. You screwed up....the baby did not. There are exceptions....rape, incest, or serious endangerment to the mother's health. Those situations are NOT the fault of the mother.....everything else is.”

Disagree: “Life begins at conception. The babies body is not the mother's and therefore it is murder to undergo an abortion. Furthermore, it does not stop a woman from being a mother. Abortion just makes her the mother of a dead baby. It's distressing to see how the right is moving left and the Republican party is caving to the evils of our nation by compromising our values for votes.”
