Thailand and Cambodia agreed to an unconditional ceasefire to halt the deadliest border clashes in over a decade. The agreement was reached on the fifth day of fighting, or about two days after President Trump threatened to withhold trade deals from both countries unless a swift resolution was reached.
Thailand’s Acting Prime Minister Phumtham Wechayachai and Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet met earlier in Malaysia, in talks hosted by Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim. Anwar facilitated a breakthrough, unconditional ceasefire deal between the two countries, which have been fighting over their highly disputed 500-mile land border.
Anwar serves as the chair of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations. Washington and Beijing both deployed envoys to support talks.

Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) Director John Ratcliffe hinted at future indictments in the ongoing Russiagate investigation during a Sunday interview on Fox News.
Director of National Intelligence (DNI) Tulsi Gabbard released “overwhelming evidence” showing that former President Barack Obama and his national security team “manufactured and politicized intelligence” following President Donald Trump’s 2016 victory. During an appearance on “Sunday Morning Futures With Maria Bartiromo,” Ratcliffe pointed out the importance of holding accountable individuals responsible for the alleged hoax when host Maria Bartiromo asked about the possibility of indictments for those who lied under oath.
“That’s why I’ve made the referrals that I have. DNI Gabbard has made referrals. And why we’re going to continue to share the intelligence that would support the ability of our Department of Justice to … bring fair and just claims against those who have perpetrated this hoax against the American people and this stain on our country,” Ratcliffe said.

President Donald Trump is inching closer to imposing tariffs and sanctions on Russia and its trading partners, reducing his 50-day deadline for Russian President Vladimir Putin to reach a peace deal with Ukraine.
When asked by reporters in Scotland about the prospect of a ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine, Trump repeated that he is “disappointed” with Putin, complaining that he thought he had the matter “settled numerous times” before his Russian counterpart then “starts launching rockets into some city, like Kyiv, and kills a lot of people.”
“I’m going to reduce that 50 days we gave him to a lesser number because I think I already know the answer what’s going to happen,” Trump said on Monday.

President Trump demanded that former Vice President Kamala Harris be prosecuted along with Beyoncé, Oprah Winfrey and Al Sharpton — for fees that were paid to the stars during the 2024 election.
Trump claimed that the stars were paid millions of dollars by Harris’ campaign for appearances — and that the money amounted to illegal payments to endorse Harris’ failed presidential bid.
“I’m looking at the large amount of money owed by the Democrats, after the Presidential Election,” Trump began on Truth Social Saturday. “These ridiculous fees were incorrectly stated in the books and records. YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO PAY FOR AN ENDORSEMENT. IT IS TOTALLY ILLEGAL TO DO SO.”

Arkansas State Police (ASP) were notified of a double homicide at Devil’s Den State Park, located near the northwestern corner of the state, at about 2:40 p.m. on Saturday. Clinton Brink, 43, and Cristen Brink, 41, were found dead on a walking trail, according to a press release.
Their young daughters, ages 9 and 7, were uninjured and are now safe with family members, police said.

An illegal immigrant from El Salvador has been sentenced to life in prison for the brutal killing of a West Virginia woman whose burned body was discovered under a couch along a roadside.
47-year-old David Calderon was sentenced Wednesday in Jefferson County Circuit Court after pleading guilty under an Alford plea to the murder of 32-year-old Samantha Dailey. An Alford plea allows a defendant to maintain innocence.
Dailey’s body was found badly burned and concealed under a discarded couch. The murder is believed to have occurred in Jefferson County. As part of the plea agreement, Calderon was sentenced to life in prison with the possibility of parole after 15 years.
