šŸ”µ Trump Gives Putin Ultimatum

Good morning. It’s Monday, July 14.

President Trump announced Monday that the U.S. will dramatically increase weapons supplies to European allies, with those countries then sending arms to Ukraine.

A source familiar with the plan tells Axios the U.S. will sell around $10 billion in weapons to NATO allies in the first wave.

The supplies ultimately bound for Ukraine include missiles, air defense weaponry and artillery shells.

Former President Joe Biden has acknowledged in a stunning new interview that he didn’t agree to the name of every person who received one of the 46th president’s sweeping pardons — with emails indicating that then-White House chief of staff Jeff Zients approved the use of the notorious White House autopen.

The 46th president insisted in a phone interview with the New York Times last week that ā€œI made every decisionā€ about clemencies issued during his term before admitting that he had his staff replicate his signature because ā€œwe’re talking about a lot of people.ā€

Biden’s team used an autopen on 25 warrants for pardons and commutations in December and January of last year, but two of those warrants granted clemency to thousands of people.

Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., on Monday announced that he would revive his criminal referral against Dr. Anthony Fauci, adding yet another wrinkle to the ongoing Biden White House autopen saga.

ā€œToday I will reissue my criminal referral of Anthony Fauci to Trump DOJ,ā€ Paul said on X.

It’s not the first time that Paul has issued a criminal referral against Fauci, who is the former director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) and medical adviser to former President Joe Biden.

A suspect has been identified in Sunday’s deadly shooting spree in Lexington, Kentucky, that left two women dead, two men wounded, and a Kentucky State Trooper hospitalized.

Law enforcement told LEX 18 that the suspect has been identified as Guy House, a convicted felon with a long criminal history. House was shot and killed by police at the scene. House, who had previously been charged with first-degree fleeing and evading police, resisting arrest, and illegal possession of a handgun in 2022, was not legally allowed to own a firearm. Authorities are now investigating how he obtained the weapon used in the attack. Pictures and videos found online of House show him wearing a Palestinian keffiyeh, which is regularly used to show support for the Hamas terrorist organization.

The two women who were killed have been identified as Beverly Gumm, 72, and Christina Combs, 32. Gumm, a mother of eight, and one of her daughters, Star Rutherford, had been in the church’s basement when House came to the door and asked for one of the Rutherford sisters, who was the mother to his three children, per the Lexington Herald-Leader. When he was told she wasn’t there, he allegedly responded, ā€œWell, someone is gonna have to die, then,ā€ and opened fire.

An Iranian movement called the ā€œBlood Covenantā€ is claiming to have crowdfunded more than $40 million as a reward for assassinating President Donald Trump, according to the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI).

A website for the movement contained a poster of Trump in crosshairs with an appeal to donate ā€œin order to ā€˜help establish stable peace,ā€™ā€ the nonprofit reported. It added that the poster quotes a verse from the Quran that reads, ā€œStrive with your wealth and your lives in the cause of Allah.ā€

ā€œThis is a call to jihad, inviting believers to donate their money and sacrifice their lives,ā€ MEMRI said. ā€œThe poster lends religious legitimacy to assassinating Trump.ā€

Attorney General Pam Bondi has fired her personal ethics adviser, removing the Justice Department’s top official responsible for counseling the most senior political appointees, according to two people familiar with the move.

Joseph Tirrell, a career attorney who’d spent nearly 20 years at the department, received a termination letter from Bondi July 11 that didn’t state a reason for his immediate removal from federal service. Similar to notices the Trump administration has sent to dozens of other DOJ civil servants, Bondi cited Article II of the Constitution, which concerns presidential powers, the sources said.

Tirrell headed the DOJ’s ethics office. His portfolio included reviewing and approving financial disclosures, recusals, waivers to conflicts of interest, and advice on travel and gifts for Bondi, Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche, FBI Director Kash Patel, and other DOJ leaders.

At least nine people have died and more have been injured following a fire at an assisted living facility in Massachusetts.

On Sunday, July 13, at approximately 9:40 p.m. local time, the Fall River Police Department and the Fall River Fire Department responded to reports of a blaze at the Gabriel House Assisted Living Facility on Oliver Street in the city, per a statement shared by police on Facebook.

ā€œWithout hesitation, officers entered the smoke-filled facility, breaking down doors and escorting residents to safety,ā€ police reported, adding, ā€œApproximately a dozen non-ambulatory residents were physically carried out by our officers.ā€
