President Donald Trumpās āone big, beautiful billā passed the House of Representatives early on Thursday morning with few Republican defections.
It is a significant victory for House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., who navigated deep inter-party friction within the House GOP Conference to deliver a product from which few Republican lawmakers ultimately defected.
The bill is a sweeping multi-trillion-dollar piece of legislation that advances Trumpās agenda on taxes, immigration, energy, defense and the national debt. Itās sought to make a dent in the federal governmentās spending trajectory by cutting roughly $1.5 trillion in government spending elsewhere. The U.S. government is over $36 trillion in debt and has spent $1.05 trillion more than itās collected in the 2025 fiscal year, according to the Treasury Department.

A divided Supreme Court on Thursday blocked the creation of the nationās first religious charter school, a major loss for those advocating a greater role for religion in public life.
The court split 4-4 over whether to allow St. Isidore of Seville Virtual Charter School, keeping in place the Oklahoma Supreme Courtās decision that a religious charter school would violate the Constitutionās clause aimed at keeping religion separate from government.
Justice Amy Coney Barrett did not participate in the decision, leaving the nine-member court evenly divided. Although she didnāt give a reason, Barrett is close friends with the Notre Dame Law School professor who was an early legal adviser to the Catholic Church in Oklahoma, which wanted to open St. Isidore.

Kanye West and Bianca Censori are at it again, and no, this isnāt just another spontaneous outfit stunt or controversial quote moment. This time, the duo is making headlines from the Spanish island of Mallorca, where theyāve checked into one of Europeās most exclusive wellness retreats, The Balance Rehab Clinic, which charges up to a jaw-dropping ā¬150,000 per week.
The couple was first spotted on the island last Saturday, casually enjoying what appears to be a retail therapy session in downtown Palma. Only instead of hitting up Louis Vuitton, the pair reportedly wandered into an erotic store and didnāt leave empty-handed.
According to shop staff, Kanye and Bianca scooped up around 20 items, including one eyebrow-raising standout: a teddy bear fully decked out in BDSM leather gear. Next on the itinerary, they head to dinner in Cala dāOr and a luxury check-in at The Balance, a wellness center thatās part rehab, part five-star hotel, and part ultra-discreet celebrity retreat.
