President Trump issued a proclamation Wednesday restricting the entry of people from a dozen countries into the U.S., citing national security concerns.
Trumpâs order states that he has decided to âfully restrict and limitâ entry from Afghanistan, Myanmar, Chad, Republic of the Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Haiti, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen.
He is also partially restricted and limited entry of nationals from seven countries: Burundi, Cuba, Laos, Sierra Leone, Togo, Turkmenistan, and Venezuela.

President Donald Trump has ordered an unprecedented investigation into former President Joe Bidenâs administration amid concerns his predecessor and his aides covered up his cognitive decline.
âIn recent months, it has become increasingly apparent that former President Bidenâs aides abused the power of Presidential signatures through the use of an autopen to conceal Bidenâs cognitive decline and assert Article II authority,â Trump wrote in a presidential memorandum signed on Wednesday. âThis conspiracy marks one of the most dangerous and concerning scandals in American history.â
The president added: âGiven clear indications that President Biden lacked the capacity to exercise his Presidential authority, if his advisors secretly used the mechanical signature pen to conceal this incapacity, while taking radical executive actions all in his name, that would constitute an unconstitutional wielding of the power of the Presidency, a circumstance that would have implications for the legality and validity of numerous executive actions undertaken in Bidenâs name.â

On Tuesday, Musk posted to X, âIâm sorry, but I just canât stand it anymore. This massive, outrageous, pork-filled Congressional spending bill is a disgusting abomination.â
His post was immediately met with support from Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY), who said âWe can and must do better.â
This sent the White House scrambling to do damage control â with Budget Director Russ Vought sending Congress a request for a $9.4 billion clawback for unspent foreign aid funding â which if youâre Musk, after what DOGE has uncovered, is a huge slap in the face.

Candidates running for the Democratic nomination for mayor of New York City faced off for the first time on the debate stage just ahead of the start of early voting next week.
Nine candidates answered questions during a chaotic two-hour debate in which they often took aim at each other, particularly the front-runner, former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo.
The candidates often dodged direct answers to moderatorsâ questions and instead jostled with each other.

President Trump on Wednesday called for Congress to eliminate the debt limit so neither party can continue to use it as a political weapon.
âLetâs get together, Republican and Democrat, and DO THIS!â he posted on social media.
The debt limit dictates the amount of money the government is authorized to borrow to pay for spending obligations Congress has approved or will approve.

A federal judge in Colorado has blocked the deportation of the family of the suspect in the Boulder, Colo., attack.
The order came just as U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) announced it was preparing to deport Mohamed Solimanâs wife and five children.
Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Kristi Noem said Tuesday that the suspectâs family members had been detained in connection with the investigation and that they would face questioning over whether they had any knowledge of the attack.

The U.S. on Wednesday vetoed a draft UN security council resolution demanding âan immediate and permanent ceasefire in Gaza.â
This was the first time the U.S. used its veto power to blocks UN security council resolutions on the war in Gaza during the second Trump administration.
The U.S. is the lone member voting against the resolution, with the other 14 member states voting in favor of it.
