President Trump warned House Republicans “don’t f— around with Medicaid” during a closed-door meeting Tuesday as he sought to rally support for his “big beautiful bill.”

The R-rated remark, confirmed to The Post by a Republican member of Congress and another person in the room, came as Trump tries to convince fiscal hawks to deliver on a bundle of top campaign pledges, including extending his 2017 tax cuts while eliminating levies on tips, overtime pay and Social Security.

Before entering the meeting with House Republicans, Trump defended planned changes to Medicaid, which he called crackdown on fraud.

 
 

A federal appeals court on Monday ordered the Trump administration to facilitate the return of a young Venezuelan migrant who was deported to a Salvadoran prison, marking the second time a court has demanded the Trump administration retrieve a migrant from El Salvador over concerns about the legality of his deportation.

In a 2-1 ruling, the 4th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals refused to block a judge’s earlier order requiring the return of a 20-year-old migrant identified in court filings as Cristian. The panel found the administration violated a class-action settlement protecting unaccompanied minors from deportation while their asylum claims are pending.

The Trump administration said it made a preliminary finding that Cristian would be denied asylum because he was classified as an “alien enemy” under the Alien Enemies Act. As a result, officials argued he was no longer protected by the court settlement that blocked the deportation of unaccompanied minors with pending asylum cases.

Babbitt was a 35-year-old Air Force veteran from San Diego.

She was shot by a Capitol police officer on Jan. 6, 2021, as she tried to climb through the broken window of a barricaded door leading to an area known as the Speaker’s Lobby as Capitol Police officers were evacuating members of Congress from the chamber.

A hidden camera kicks that door off its hinges,” Mace said in an opening statement posted on X. “The Constitution’s Fourth Amendment enshrines a ‘reasonable expectation of privacy.’ Yet today, that freedom is violated by secret cameras and hidden devices to record women and girls with impunity.”

A fourth New Orleans jail escapee has been captured, but six inmates are still on the loose since 10 of them broke out of the Orleans Parish Jail on Friday.

Meanwhile, Orleans Parish District Attorney Jason Williams told CNN that “I am personally afraid, not just for myself, but for my lawyers who tried the case against” still at-large escapee Derrick Groves, who was convicted of murdering two men in 2018.

Williams prosecuted Groves, the news network said.
