šŸ”µ Tsunami Warning Issued

Good evening. It’s Tuesday, July 29.

One of the world’s strongest earthquakes struck Russia’s Far East early Wednesday, an 8.8-magnitude temblor that caused small tsunami waves in Japan and Alaska and prompted warnings for Hawaii, North and Central America and Pacific islands south toward New Zealand.

People were advised to move to higher ground in multiple locations, but places where tsunami waves have already washed ashore have reported no significant damage so far.

Waves less than a foot (under 30 centimeters) above tide levels were observed in the Alaskan communities of Amchitka and Adak, said Dave Snider, tsunami warning coordinator with the National Tsunami Warning Center in Alaska.

Donald Trump is heavily weighing giving Sean ā€œDiddyā€ Combs a full presidential pardon ahead of the convicted Bad Boy Records founder’s sentencing later this year.

Nearly two months after Trump publicly entertained the notion of a Diddy pardon in an Oval Office gaggle, a comprehensive get out of jail card for Combs is being ā€œseriously considered,ā€ an administration source tells Deadline.

Additionally, as several associates of the much-accused and currently incarcerated ā€œAll About the Benjaminsā€ performer have been pitching the White House, other insiders confirm the topic has leveled up from ā€œjust another Trump weave to an actionable eventā€ since Combs was found partially guilty in the his NYC sex-trafficking trial earlier this month. Of course, as a number of parties attest, this being the roller coaster of Trumpworld, any decision on a Combs pardon is in flux until POTUS actually puts his signature on paper.

The ā€œmissing minuteā€ from the surveillance video at the Manhattan Metropolitan Correctional Center where Jeffrey Epstein died in 2019 may not be missing after all, CBS News has learned.

When the Justice Department and FBI released nearly 11 hours of footage earlier this month, the time code on the screen jumped forward one minute just before midnight, prompting questions about the one-minute gap. The video shows part of the area near the cell where Epstein was being held the night he died in what the medical examiner ruled a suicide.

A government source familiar with the investigation says the FBI, the Bureau of Prisons and the Department of Justice inspector general are all in possession of a copy of the video that does not cut from just before 11:59 p.m. to midnight of the night Epstein died by suicide in his cell.

Top Russian officials on Tuesday responded to President Donald Trump’s new deadline for Russia to make progress toward a cease-fire with Ukraine.

On Monday, Trump told reporters in Scotland that he is ā€œvery disappointedā€ in Russian President Vladimir Putin for continuing the conflict, saying he would shorten a 50-day negotiating window to 10 days.

In response, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Tuesday that Moscow has ā€œtaken into account President Trump’s statement yesterday,ā€ according to Russian state-run media.

Artificial intelligence has become so sophisticated that it’s apparently no longer distinguishable from its human counterparts. The newest generation of ChatGPT has ironically devised a way to pass the online verification tests designed to stop bots from accessing the system.

The assistant, dubbed ChatGPT Agent, was designed to navigate the internet on the user’s behalf, handling complex tasks from online shopping to scheduling appointments, per an OpenAI blog post announcing the robot’s capabilities.

ā€œChatGPT will intelligently navigate websites, filter results, prompt you to log in securely when needed, run code, conduct analysis, and even deliver editable slideshows and spreadsheets that summarize its findings,ā€ they wrote. Yes, apparently these omnipresent bots are even replacing us in the internet surfing sector.
