President Donald Trump announced Sunday that the U.S. reached a trade deal with the European Union, following pivotal discussions with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen days before the Aug. 1 tariff deadline.

Trump said that the deal imposes a 15% tariff on most European goods to the U.S., including cars.

Some products, including aircrafts and their components, some chemicals and pharmaceuticals, will not be subject to tariffs, von der Leyen said in a briefing after the agreement was announced. She also said that the new 15% tariff rate would not be added to any tariffs already in effect.

 
 

Police have identified a 42-year-old man with multiple prior arrests as the violent nut who stabbed 11 people at a Walmart Superstore in Michigan on Saturday afternoon.

Bradford James Gille is in custody and awaiting arraignment on one count of terrorism and 11 counts of assault with intent to murder following the shocking stabbing spree in Traverse City, cops said.

Gille entered the big-box chain store around 4:43 p.m. and stabbed his victims using a folding knife, authorities said.

A deranged passenger Sunday forced an emergency landing at Scotland’s Glasgow Airport after yelling he had a bomb on board and wanted to “send a message” to President Trump, who is visiting there.

Harrowing footage aboard easyJet flight 609 showed the moment the suspect, who has only been identified as a 41-year-old man, began shouting, “Allahu Akbar!” and making threats at Trump, who was just an hour away at his Turnberry golf course.

A Delta Airlines pilot was detained by federal agents just moments after landing a plane at a California airport — shocking passengers and plane crew alike.

The pilot was arrested on board Delta Flight 2809 around 9:35 p.m. Saturday, just as the aircraft touched down in San Francisco from Minneapolis and was preparing to deplane, according to a local report.

Before anybody could leave, about 10 federal agents — including officers from Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) — boarded the full plane, then “stormed the cockpit, cuffed the co-pilot, arrested him, walked him down the aisle, and ushered him off the plane,” one alarmed passenger who saw the whole ordeal said.

The death toll from an attack on a Catholic church in eastern Congo by Islamic State-backed rebels has risen to 34, according to a civil society leader.

“The bodies of the victims are still at the scene of the tragedy, and volunteers are preparing how to bury them in a mass grave that we are preparing in a compound of the Catholic church,” Dieudonne Duranthabo, a civil society coordinator in Komanda, in the Ituri province, told The Associated Press.

At least five other people were killed in an earlier attack on the nearby village of Machongani, from where a search is ongoing.
