Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu accused Iran Sunday of orchestrating the two failed assassination attempts on President Trump during his third presidential campaign last year.

Netanyahu characterized Trump as the greatest threat to Iran and its ambitions for acquiring a nuclear weapon — claiming that’s why the rogue regime tried to murder him, in a shocking moment during an interview with Brett Baier of Fox News.

ā€œThese people who chant, ā€˜Death to America,’ tried to assassinate President Trump twice,ā€ Netanyahu said as he was making his case to the American people for launching attacks on Iran amid the Islamic republic and Israel’s deadly exchange of missiles over the weekend.

President Trump warned Sunday that the US could get directly involved in the Israel-Iran conflict if things continue to escalate.

While Trump predicted that Iran and Israel will ā€œmake a dealā€ to end the deadly violence that has seen the Jewish state and Islamic republic exchange countless missiles since Friday, the president said the US may find itself involved if a truce doesn’t happen.

ā€œWe’re not involved in it. It’s possible we could get involved. But we are not at this moment involved,ā€ Trump told ABC News.

Israel on Sunday attacked dozens of sites in Iran — including energy sites, radar systems, and ballistic missiles and their launchers — and killed Iran’s top intelligence officers on the third day of its ongoing campaign against the Islamic Republic’s nuclear and ballistic missile programs.

The Israel Defense Forces also bombed an Iranian refueling plane at Mashhad Airport in northeast Iran, some 2,300 kilometers (1,430 miles) from Israel, marking what it said was the most distant strike since the beginning of the operation.

And early Monday morning, the army said it struck surface-to-surface missile launch sites in central Iran, shortly after the IDF Home Front Command told Israelis to remain close to shelters ahead of an expected missile barrage that didn’t materialize.

President Donald Trump torpedoed an Israeli plan to assassinate Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

Following their targeted strikes seeking to eliminate Iran’s nuclear and military capabilities last week, Israel told Trump they had a ā€œcredibleā€ opportunity to kill the ayatollah, but Trump waved Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu off the plan during a conversation between the two leaders, multiple outlets reported Sunday, citing U.S. officials.

The Trump administration has relied on diplomatic means to end the conflict between Israel and Iran as opposed to swift military intervention favored by lawmakers, including Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC), or tactics such as assassinating Khamenei, which the White House fears could further escalate the conflict and destabilize the region.

Singer and social media personality Nezza broke a rule in Dodger Stadium on Saturday.

Ahead of the Dodgers’ eventual 11-5 win over the Giants, she sang the national anthem in Spanish, but according to a video later posted by the performer, she sang it in her first language against the wishes of the organization.

Nezza, whose full name is Vanessa HernĆ”ndez, posted a video on TikTok where viewers can hear an unidentified Dodgers employee telling her before the performance that ā€œwe are going to do the song in English today, so I’m not sure if that wasn’t relayed.ā€
